IBT Greenville Pastor Update (Spanish and English)
Thank you for visiting our website! We are a church in Greenville, SC, a family of Christians where we are all learning and growing together.
Our purpose as a church is to fulfill the the mission of the Lord Jesus Christ. We do that through the three goals of all our activities: to reach people (to know Christ), to train and develop believers (to grow in character), and to transfer that knowledge to others (to share in communion and continue the mission).
Our activities are in Spanish but we interpret everything into English. We hope to see you soon!
The mission of the church is to teach the world everything that Jesus commanded.
The Christian life, and that of the church, begins with our relationship with the Triune God. All individual and corporate worship - praise, fellowship, teaching, giving, prayer, ordinances, service - must be centred on the exaltation of God.
We form believers through baptism, public identification with Jesus, and discipleship, doctrinal formation for spiritual growth. We want to maintain orthodoxy (biblical doctrine) and orthopraxy (biblical conduct).
As a church, we desire to bring the good news of the Gospel to reach others for Christ, whether in Greenville through our outreach programs, or anywhere else in the world through our missions program.
Lead Pastor for Teaching and Vision
Jeremy Patterson was born in Greenville and then grew up in Japan as the son of missionaries. He has worked in different churches and ministries around the world and is currently professor of world languages at Bob Jones University. Jeremy’s burden in work and ministry is to reach others with the love of Christ across and in spite of cultural differences.
Pastor for Discipleship and Administration
Ariel Noboa was born in the Dominican Republic and came to know the Lord Jesus at the age of 17. He has experience in administration and finance, and for the last 12 years he has served the Lord full time in Christian education, discipleship, and marriage counseling. His desire is to help people take the next step of faith in following Jesus and growing in his likeness.
Pastor for Missions and Outreach
With a multicultural Swiss and Latino background, Etienne Jodar came to Greenville in 2013 to pursue advanced theological studies. He taught biblical Greek to first- and second-year university students, and his areas of research include ecclesiastical leadership and the writings of Paul. Etienne has published articles in peer-reviewed journals like Themelios, and, like a good Latino, his favorite pastime is soccer.
Deleniti atque corrupti quos dolores et quas moltias excepturi. All this mistaken idea of pleasure and praising pain.
